The TRW building demolition project included removal of a multistory building over 740,000 square feet as well as repair of existing access roads and lawns. The total area of demolition and restoration was over 25 acres. Over 200,000 cubic yards of earth was moved to restore the site and create the final contours. Approximately 100,000 cubic yards of crushed concrete was generated for reuse, much of which was used as fill on the site. Many of the building systems were recycled and/or sold off as used which decreased the amount of material sent to a landfill furthering the owners green initiatives.
