The Portage Lakes Visitor Center will welcome thousands of guests to this boating, birding, and fishing haven. Focused on the importance of the lakes to the community, the 3,914 square foot center will feature an interactive map, quiet spots for respite, and modern restroom facilities as well as outdoor spaces for soaking up the sun. As it is built into the hillside by the Turkeyfoot Lake beach, the center will be two stories, with restrooms accessible from the beach area.
