For nearly seven decades, Ozanne Construction has been shaped by people who bring exceptional skill, determination, and integrity to every project—a tradition that began with founder Leroy Ozanne in 1956 and continues to guide our team today. From our earliest public works projects to major federal, aviation, education, and healthcare facilities, we have grown into a multidisciplinary construction management firm with a deeply experienced staff, including more than 20 LEED Accredited Professionals and Green Associates. Our team’s collective expertise reflects the same commitment to craftsmanship, problem-solving, and relentless work ethic that defined Leroy’s journey as one of Cleveland’s first African American building inspectors and a pioneering contractor.
Today, Ozanne’s people are our greatest strength. We bring together diverse perspectives, specialized technical knowledge, and a shared belief in delivering excellence for some of the nation’s most demanding owners—including the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Air Force Construction Management Division, Army Corps of Engineers, NASA Glenn Research Center, and the General Services Administration. Grounded in our history and energized by innovation, our team is united by a simple, enduring philosophy passed down from our founder:
“We can and will compete against anybody.”

Since 1956, Ozanne has provided contracting, employment, and training opportunities to women and minorities seeking careers in construction. Both Leroy and Dominic Ozanne have been members of the National Association of Minority Contractors since the 1970s and are in the NAMC Hall of Fame.
Ozanne provides its construction management services in kind for community projects. These include the African American Cultural Gardens in Rockefeller Park, the Garden of 11 Angels Memorial in Cleveland, the Partnership Schools of Cleveland, and several others. For over 25 years, Ozanne has been active in supporting the building trades apprenticeship program at Max Hayes High School in Cleveland.
We take a practical, results-driven approach to sustainability, focusing on what actually creates long-term value for our clients and the communities we build in. Our projects prioritize local impact by engaging local, minority, and Women-Owned trade partners, strengthening both the workforce and regional economy. Environmentally, we collaborate closely with clients and design teams to build in accordance with LEED Green Building, Energy Star, and other environmental standards.
We have had the opportunity to team with many of the industry’s best and largest design, build, and construction management firms locally and nationally. These various teaming arrangements have always been on a value-added basis. We look forward to continuing our design and construction teaming relationships.
